This report presents findings from a large-scale survey of young people in the UK about their relationship with music — how they listen, create, and engage with music in their daily lives. The 2024 wave explores generational trends in music consumption, participation in music-making, and attitudes towards music education. Key findings highlight the central role of streaming and social media in how young people discover and share music, as well as disparities in access to music-making opportunities based on socioeconomic background.
