This report presents results from a survey of 321 young people aged 11–25 across Scotland, commissioned by the Scottish Government and conducted by Young Scot and the Scottish Youth Parliament, on how Relationships, Sexual Health and Parenthood (RSHP) education is delivered in schools. The majority of respondents supported the revised RSHP guidance: 71% agreed it would inform young people about online consent, 87% found consent materials clear, and 71% felt guidance on parents' right to withdraw was clear. However, significant uncertainty remained around whether the guidance would reduce homophobic bullying or make RSHP more LGBT inclusive, with many young people noting that school materials alone cannot overcome deep-rooted societal attitudes.
