About this report
This annual survey by the Gambling Commission, conducted by Ipsos in schools across England, Scotland and Wales, examines gambling behaviours, attitudes and awareness among young people aged 11–17. In 2024, 27% of young people had spent their own money on gambling in the past 12 months, with arcade machines and peer betting being the most common activities. Problem gambling scores increased, with 1.5% of young people scoring 4 or more on the DSM-IV-MR-J screen, up from 0.7% in 2023.
