This report analyses Centrepoint's service records for 3,452 homeless young people aged 16–25 who accessed support in 2019 across London, Manchester, Sunderland, Bradford and Barnsley. It finds that over half (54.1%) experienced mental health issues and nearly a third had a formal diagnosis, with rates significantly higher among those with experience of rough sleeping. The report also highlights regional disparities in mental health need and calls for better integration of health services into homelessness provision and commissioning.
