The Northern Ireland Youth Forum (NIYF) surveyed over 1,000 young people across Northern Ireland at two points during the COVID-19 pandemic (entering and exiting lockdown in 2020) to capture their views, feelings and concerns. Key findings show that young people's top concerns were mental health, boredom, education and isolation, with 80% feeling decision-makers were not listening to them. The report calls for a dedicated youth press conference, a Northern Ireland Youth Assembly, clearer youth-targeted information, and improved mental health provision in schools.
