This report explores the experiences of trans and non-binary young people in Scotland, drawing on survey data from 1,279 LGBTQ+ young people aged 13–25. It finds that trans participants consistently report poorer experiences than their cisgender peers across community spaces, public transport, online spaces, health services, and police services. Nearly three-quarters of trans respondents consider transphobia a significant problem in Scotland, with many reporting that discrimination has led to missed educational and employment opportunities. The report makes detailed recommendations to the Scottish Government, NHS Scotland, Police Scotland, and education providers to better protect and support trans young people.
