This report is a deep-dive into the education findings from LGBT Youth Scotland's Life in Scotland for LGBT Young People 2022 survey, drawing on responses from 1,279 LGBTI young people aged 13–25 in Scotland. It finds that just 10% of participants rated the experience of school as 'Good', over 63% had experienced homophobic or biphobic bullying in school, and fewer than half felt supported as an LGBTI person in education. The report identifies five key themes — supportive staff, inclusive spaces, LGBTI-specific information, policies and guidance, and taking action — and makes targeted recommendations to schools, colleges, universities, and the Scottish Government to improve LGBTI inclusion.
