Young Women's Trust's 2018 annual survey of 18–30 year olds in England and Wales finds that young women continue to face significant financial disadvantage, workplace insecurity, and growing mental health pressures compared to young men. Young women are more likely to struggle financially, experience low pay, face sexual harassment at work, and report depression and anxiety. The findings highlight that women from the lowest socio-economic group are disproportionately affected across all measures. The report calls on government and employers to address gender inequality in work, financial insecurity, and the mental health crisis among young women.
