This annual survey by Girlguiding canvassed the views of over 1,400 girls and young women aged 7–21 across the UK on a wide range of issues affecting their lives. Key findings show that 85% experience sexism in some aspect of their life, 59% of those aged 13–21 experienced sexual harassment at school or work in the past year, and three in four aged 11–21 know peers who self-harm or suffer from depression. Girls expressed strong support for improved sex and relationships education, greater female representation in politics and media, and action to address body image pressures.
