The Jack Petchey Foundation surveyed nearly 3,000 young people aged 11–25 across London and Essex about their career ambitions, the opportunities available to them, and what support they need to achieve their goals. Key findings include that most young people think about their future careers regularly, value real-world work experience above a university degree, and rely heavily on family for career guidance. The report highlights gaps in provision — particularly for those without family support networks — and calls for more mentorship, apprenticeships, and career guidance opportunities.
