This annual survey by Young Women's Trust examines the financial and employment experiences of young women aged 18–30 in England and Wales, compared with young men and HR/recruitment professionals. It finds that young women are significantly worse off financially than young men, with 42% reporting their financial situation has worsened over the past year and 53% experiencing workplace discrimination — a three-year high. Racially minoritised young women, single mothers, and those on benefits face compounded disadvantages, including insecure work and lack of progression. The report concludes that young women remain structurally excluded from economic security and calls on employers to adopt more inclusive practices.
